What is Argentium Silver?
Argentium Silver was invented by Peter Johns at England's Middlesex University in the early 1990's, and is the name of a silver alloy that comes from the Argentium Silver Company. It is only manufactured by this company. The silver contains germanium, which protects the Argentium silver from tarnishing and makes this particular sterling silver durable and problem-free.
What is germanium?
Germanium is a grey/white metalloid (having both metallic and non-metallic properties). It is a semi-precious, conductive material. The pure element is brittle, with a crystalline structure.

Sterling silver is softer, tarnishes, and must be polished regularly. The .925 markings mean that the alloy mix is made up of .925% sterling and the rest, copper. Argentium Silver contains sterling silver and germanium. It is harder, allowing for daily use and does not tarnish. At only $1 more an ounce, it is definitely worth it's weight!

What is RSS?
RSS is a mechanism used to distribute news content without depending on the browser or email client. Not everyone agrees precisely what RSS stands for, but "Really Simple Syndication" is a popular choice.
What are the advantages of RSS?
In general it means time savings because, thanks to RSS, you stay ahead of what's new without having to browse every site you normally visit. An RSS Reader aggregates the content for you to view in one place, this saves time and brings you the content like when you're reading a newspaper with the advantage to view only headlines. You're in control of which articles you want to read.

Paris Impressions Art Exhibit
For those of you who know our gallery manager, Nancy Noel May, you know her vibrant personality, love of painting, and passion for travel. Nancy and gallery owner, Star Sosa, went to Paris this past spring. While on the trip, Nancy took photos of her favorite vignets, landscapes, and architecture. She has transferred these images into paintings that will be on exhibit from July 11th-August 4th. Artist reception: July 11th, Friday, from 6-8pm. Champagne and truffles served.
