November Paint-a-Round

This November, Nancy Noel May, Phil Meade, Kristin Gibson, and Jane Faudre will be participating in a paint-a-round. Whats a paint-a-round? All artists will start with the same image, paint on a canvas for 30 mins, then move to the next canvas. When finished, all paintings will be auctioned off to benefit Dreams Center for Arts Education.
They are in the process of building their 'dream' facility and 100% of the proceeds from the paintings will go directly to them. Also, 10% of the total gallery sales for the day will also be donated. Galen will be in the gallery playing music so stop in and watch them paint!

No September Open House

Instead of having out monthly open house, we are going to be participating in the Forum's Girls Night Out event on 9/9/09. Kristin Gibson will be painting in the gallery, Galen will be playing music and the event will benefit the Pink Ribbon Campaign. More details to come!

Open House and Wine Tasting

Friday, August 14th from 6-8pm, we will have our open house and wine tasting with featured artist Sarah James. She is a glass bead maker and jeweler. She will be available for questions throughout the evening. Stop in and meet the popular artist!

New Candles Just In!

Becky Hemby's ever so popular candles are back! With a new shipment in, they are ready for new homes. We have the lights and the candles and they are now made with Soy Wax, so super great for the environment! Who knew?!

What Inspires Artists?

Artists are inspired by many different things. Emotions, places, scenery, as well as activism all provoke artists to create. For me, my jewelry is inspired by making a statement, usually geared toward humanism, yet the most beautiful view will cause me to pick up a paint brush.

For gallery artist, Jane Faudree, it is an emotion, especially in her abstract paintings. Though the beauty of the world and the mixing of the paints, the act of 'doing', is also an inspiration to her.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Different things motivate each of us. What inspires you?
